Home brewers often expose pH meters to heat and moisture, which can shorten probe lifespan. The thin glass membrane is also delicate and can be damaged if dropped or mishandled. That’s why it’s important to have a pH meter with a replaceable probe for long-term use.

• Includes a sealed cap with O-ring to prevent drying out

To maintain accuracy and extend the life of your probe, always keep the sensor tip moist with KCl storage solution. If the probe dries out, it may lose accuracy and degrade more quickly.
