IceMaster G20 Glycol Chiller JoinTech
Code: KL47340Related products
Product detailed description
The JoinTech G20 is a professional compressor-driven glycol chiller designed for precise temperature control during beer, cider, wine and kombucha fermentation. Two integrated circulation pumps and two independent digital temperature controllers allow two fermenters to be cooled simultaneously at different temperatures without the need for additional pumps or external controllers.
- Unlike thermoelectric chillers, the G20 uses a high-efficiency compressor refrigeration system with R600a (isobutane), providing significantly higher cooling performance and efficiency. It is ideal for controlled fermentation, lagering and cold crashing.
- The JoinTech G20 is perfectly suited for home breweries and small craft breweries using jacketed fermenters or internal glycol cooling coils such as Temp Twister.
Main Features
- 2 independently controlled glycol circuits
- 2 integrated circulation pumps
- 2 independent digital temperature controllers
- high-efficiency compressor cooling
- ideal for fermentation control, lagering and cold crashing
- compact and quiet operation
- 16.4 L glycol reservoir
- JoinTech 1/2" Dry Break fittings
Applications
- fermentation temperature control
- jacketed fermenters
- Temp Twister cooling coils
- bright tanks
- cold crashing
Actual cooling performance depends on fermenter size, insulation quality, ambient temperature and fermentation heat load. For best performance we recommend well-insulated fermenters and a properly designed glycol circuit.

Recommendations
- For maximum efficiency we recommend using a mixture of water and food-grade propylene glycol with a concentration of approximately 20–30%. This provides effective heat transfer while protecting the system against freezing.
- Allow at least 100 mm clearance around all ventilation openings and regularly clean dust from the condenser to ensure optimum performance.
- The unit is not designed to cool boiling wort directly. Before using the glycol chiller, cool the wort with a water chiller to below approximately 50 °C.
Approximate Cooling Performance
- At a temperature differential of approximately 20–22 °C, the cooling capacity corresponds to roughly 20 litres per hour. Actual performance depends on fermenter insulation, ambient temperature, hose length, glycol flow rate and the type of cooling jacket or coil used.
- For normal fermentation temperature control, the G20 is well suited for fermenters in the 50–60 litre range, such as the FermZilla 55 L with Temp Twister, Conicus 55 L or BrewBuilt X-Series 53 L jacketed fermenter. It can also be used with fermenters around 100 L, depending on insulation and ambient conditions, although Cold Crash will require more time. For best results, use well-insulated fermenters, short insulated glycol lines and a 20–30% food-grade propylene glycol mixture.
